Another Thing that is Universal:
I have trouble getting home. It doesn't seem to matter where I am hanging my hat,m I can never get back there on the first try. I was afraid I would miss my connecting flight when they told us there would be a 40 minute delay of departure from San Jose due to weather conditions at the Tegucilgapa airport. I was perturbed when I sat on the plane for 2 hours afterward, on the runway with no air, no information, and no food. By the time they dropped the stairson the runway, loaded us onto a bus, and drove us back to the airport, telling us they would let us know when there was something to know, I was just relieved that I could be in airconditioning, and maybe hang out with my mom for a little longer. When they informed us that the flight was cancelled and that no other carriers were going into Honduras that afternoon, I had to laugh. I simply can never get home on the first try (if you have known me for any length of time, you know this to be true). So I am back in the hotel I stayed in last night (at least now the tv works), watching CCTV in Chinese, and contemplating the irony of my travels. Nonetheless, I am safe, well fed, and entertained (for the time being), not to mention booked on a flight to leave tomorrow morning. I will let you know how it goes!
