T-minus 6 Days...

And counting...
It's official. On March 9, around 12:30 in the morning I will be heading off to seek out adventure in Honduras. It is funny how that simple action has kickstarted all of the excitement and anticipation that I have yet to be able to muster about this expedition. It is actually coming together.
A friend recommended the book The Alchemist to me recently, and if you haven't read it, you must. This story was a perfect beginning of my trip, it was inspiring and allowed for a reflective assessment of myself and my goals.
"No matter what he does, every person on earth plays a central role in the history of the world. And normally he doesn't know it." (Paulo Coehlo)
I have spoken with many friends and (mostly) family members who fear for my safety whilst I am abroad, and I must admit that there were times of trepidation on my own part. But I know that this is where I am supposed to be going at this time. I cannot yet tell you why, exactly, but I hope to be able to pass that information on as I discover it.
"There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure." (Paulo Coehlo)
I am looking forward to this trip more than any I have ever taken. I anticipate filling this blog with tales of daring, jungle creatures, aquatic exploration, and (hopefully) lots of Spanish. If you haven't read The Alchemist, you should definately do so. Until then, everyone on earth has a treasure that awaits him, and wherever your heart is, there you will find your treasure. Seek out your bliss.

so it seems as though you are saying that everyone has a treasure awaiting them. everyone? so, what about people who's treasure is really something harmful to them or another? do you think their "treasure" really is a treasure? and if that be the case, would you still tell them to seek out thier "bliss" so blantantly and confidently?
